Reese Witherspoon was so excited to be meeting the Duchess of Cambridge that she changed six times but after meeting Kate, the actress reckons they could be best pals.
The 'This Means War' actress appeared on Ellen's chat show, where she recalled the charity bash where she met the royal couple during their US visit in 2011, shortly after their wedding.
"Somebody called me and said, 'We're having a really small fundraiser would you want to come over and meet the prince and princess?' I was like, 'Yes!' My husband (agent Jim Toth) just thought I was so dorky."
She continued: "He was like, 'Why are you so excited?' I must have tried on like six outfits. 'I'm meeting a princess. You don't understand. You have to be wearing the right outfit and the whole thing. I don't know, maybe we can be friends.'"
The Hollywood actress was "super excited" to meet the Duchess, as anyone would be.
"So we went and it's always funny. Whenever I am super excited about things, my husband calls it the double barrel. That's when I smile so big I look like a child... I was so excited to meet her. Y'all, she's a princess."
Is Kate Reese's new BFF? Well not exactly, but the actress had this creepy message: "I would like to hang out. I'm not sure she wants to hang out with me... She was really nice. She was lovely... Call me. Call me anytime."
Looks likes Kate's not short of admirers...
