A self-portrait Amy Winehouse made using her own blood is set to go on display as part of Pete Doherty's new art exhibition.
The image of Winehouse, which makes up part of Doherty's 'On Blood: A Portrait of the Artist' exhibition, was made when the addict pair were close friends and employs a technique known as 'arterial splatter', using blood in place of ink.
Speaking to The Independent, Doherty admits that Amy's Father Mitch is not a fan of his.
“She was on the phone to her dad when she did that, (the painting)” he says.
Adding: “She said, 'Dad, I'm with Pete and he's making me draw with my blood!' He didn't like me much, her dad.”
'On Blood: A Portrait of the Artist' opens at London’s Cob Gallery next week.
