The popular BBC cooking show, Masterchef, has been accused of faking scenes after one amateur chef presented judges Greg Wallace and John Torode with a perfect souffle, which moments earlier had collapsed.
Fans watched on in confusion as Greg and John praised Tom Reynold's dish which had mysteriously risen just moments after viewers saw the same dish collapse. Following the incident, BBC bosses have now been accused of fixing the scene to appear as though Tom's dish was perfect all along.
Speaking about Tom earlier on the show, John could be seen saying: "Today he really has got to deliver good quality food, free of mistakes. He says it's never gone wrong before, there's always a first time."
Greg added: "He makes lots of silly mistakes."
Confessing that the scenes were edited, a spokesperson for the show told the Mail Online that the dish Tom presented to the judges was the original.
They added: "We often cut back to the shot of the food as a reminder of how the dish looked before the tasting."
Did you see it? What did you think?
It's souffle-gate!
