Ed Sheeran is still on the lookout for a sharp suit in time for the BRITs next week.
The 'A Team' singer usually sticks to the casual slacker look but one of his special guest at the awards ceremony demands something more more formal.
“I was just going to rock a hoodie and jeans at the BRITs, but now my Mum is coming I’m going to have to get a suit,” Ed told The Daily Star.
Ed is nominated for Best Male Singer, Album, Best Single and British Breakthrough artist and scooping some of those prizes would be a nice late birthday present.The 'Lego House' crooner turns 21 today (February 17) but he's saving any major celebration for after the BRITs.
About his birthday he said, "I’ll try to find a pub and break my ban on drinking. I like Adnams beer. But I’m working during the day and I’m not a big fan of parties. I just end up saying Hi to everyone, and I don’t really get a chance to unwind.”
While the likes of JLS and Olly Murs have promised spectacular performances, Ed is planning to stick with his tried and tested formula.
“I always watched the BRITs. I remember seeing Eminem with his chainsaw and thinking that was a bit out there. But my performance will be a standard ‘me’ performance, just standing there with a guitar.”
The BRIT awards will be held February 21.
