After taking home six Grammys last weekend, it's no surprise that Adele wanted to treat herself. And she did just that with a new home worth over £6 million, but she claims it's for "safety".
The 'Someone Like You' singer is renting the new pad for £15,000 a month. It has 10 bedrooms, a tennis court, a helipad and a swimming pool but Adele says that it's all to keep her out of the glare of the public eye.
While showing her new home off on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper, Adele shows off the house but it's got barely any furniture.
After Adele told Cooper that she wanted to escape the paparazzi, she said: "This is just safety, this house," she said.
Cooper even joked that her house reminded him of a horror movie with its dark corridors.
"Ever seen The Shining?" he quipped, referring to the 'all work and no play scene' from the Jack Nicholson film.
No doubt the most important thing to Adele is that her home is just minutes away from her boyfriend Simon Konecki, as he lives in Brighton. But the singer has barely had any time to get anything sorted, as her room is still full of her suitcases.
"I love what you've done to the place," Cooper jokes, to which Adele replies: "I've been busy!" Well let's hope this house keeps Adele safe! It should do for that price!
