Cher Lloyd has apologised for insulting Cheryl Cole earlier this week.
Former X Factor star Cher, who was mentored by Cheryl during her time on the show, took an appearance on Daybreak this morning to say sorry for the remarks she made and that she did not mean to offend Cheryl.
Appearing on the ITV morning show, Cher said she is ‘Sorry to her if she found it offensive,' adding that she shouldn’t have’ criticised her former mentor in that way.
"Basically I said something on radio which I shouldn't have said and it wasn't intended to sound as bad as it did. All I was saying was that I would love to perform with her live and then I made a little joke about, 'only if she sang live'. I think it just got a bit blown out of proportion. But I just want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive," said Cher.
Adding: "But at the end of the day, she was the person who got me where I am today. So if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be sat here now talking to you."
The argument stems back to earlier this week when Cher basically alleged that Cheryl doesn't, and can't sing live. Cheryl later took to Twitter to make her own angry feelings loud and clear.
