Kevin Costner will make a speech at Whitney Houston's funeral this Saturday (February 18), it has been reported.
The actor, who was Houston's first ever leading man in the 1992 film 'The Bodyguard', is alleged by People magazine to be addressing the tragic star's friends and family at the New Jersey service this weekend.
'The Bodyguard' was a global box office smash, and featured the song 'I Will Always Love You', originally recorded by Dolly Parton and covered by Whitney for the film. It became the biggest hit of her career.
Clive Davis, who threw a pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel just hours after the singer died in one of its rooms, will also speak, and her godmother Aretha Franklin is reportedly due to sing.
Of Davis, a source told the mag: "They're leaning on him for emotional support. He talks to them hourly, and he's a very big part in planning her funeral.Clive has been a constant presence for them. They're thanking God for Clive."
Toxicology tests intended to reveal Whitney's cause of death will not be made public for another six to eight weeks.
RIP Whitney Houston
