Katie Price has been a victim of a Twitter hoax yesterday, after a police account tweeted that she had been arrested.
Hackers got into the @policeuk account, which has not been verified by Twitter, but has over 4,000 followers and last night, they tweeted: "Model Katie Price arrested by police following a crash near her home."
The 33-year-old was clearly stunned by the news, and snapped back: "How can I of been arrested when I've been at my familys having dinner @policeuk you are sick making these rumours up."
Hours after the initial tweet, @policeuk tweeted that their account had been hacked and apologised to the mother-of-three.
"Would like to give our apologies to @misskatieprice it seems our account was hacked, Katie Price is safe and well and has not been arrested," they wrote.
Tweeting back to a news editor at Sky News, they added: "Seems out account has been hacked sorry for any confusion this has caused."
The offending tweets have not bee removed by the police account.
