Amy Childs was forced to change her outfit at a celebrity event last night after showing up in the same dress as former Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose.
Committing the ultimate fashion faux pas, both stars arrived at the Pia Michi Fashion Show wearing the same daring leopard print cutaway dress but it was poor Amy who was forced to change.
Despite being a feisty Essex girl, the beautician made the switch after 41 year-old Tricia threw a diva strop and told the redhead that “she had been around longer”.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Everyone told Tricia to take it off but she said, ‘I've been around longer than Amy. I was in Heartbreak for 18 years so she can take hers off!’”
Poor Amy was forced off the red carpet and out of the leopard print number but soon emerged smiling in a much nicer purple dress and let Tricia carry on her night in the leopard print number that clung in all the wrong places.
Amy was flanked on the red carpet by cousin Harry Derbridge for the event at the Millenium Hotel in Grosvenor Square. The pair were reunited with their former The Only Way Is Essex co-stars Gemma Collins and Jessica Wright who both looked glam in floor length gowns.
It was a night for reality TV star’s as Celebrity Big Brother’s Nicola McClean showed off her assets in a revealing spotty-peacock dress. After looking glam on the red carpet the mother of two later changed her tired feet in to a pair of converse trainers – clearly a sign of a good night!
Katie Price’s posse also arrived at the event with gay couple Phil Turner and Gary Cockerill and her protégé 19 year-old Amy Willerton getting in on the action.
