X Factor finalist Amelia Lily has reportedly signed a record contract with the songwriting team behind Girls Aloud.
Xenomania, who have penned some of the biggest pop songs of the past decade, have set up a new imprint on Sony and have reportedly made teenager Amelia their first signing.
Amelia, who finished third in the 2011 series of X Factor behind Little Mix and Marcus Collins and was mentored by Kelly Rowland, is said to be working on her debut album at the moment.
"Amelia will be the perfect pop star and has fantastic hit-makers who were behind some of The Saturdays' and Girls Aloud's best songs," an source revealed to The Mirror. "It'll be a great combination."
It is believed Amelia has secured a three album deal worth £500,000.
Meanwhile, speaking exclusively to Entertainmentwise, Marcus Collins has said that he felt the X Factor 'needed' a girlband to win last year.
