Whitney Houston's family disappointed the singer's millions of fans by stating that her funeral will be only open to friends and family, but now they have announced that the service will be streamed live online.
Fans will be able to watch as the 'I Will Always Love You' singer is laid to rest at her childhood church in Newark, New Jersey this Saturday (February 18).
The AP will be allowed to film the service and stream it on their website, says Houston's publicist Kristen Foster, and the footage will be available for broadcasters via satellite.
Whitney, 48, was found dead in her Los Angeles hotel room last weekend ahead of the Grammys. The cause of death is still unknown, although it's thought that prescription drugs and alcohol are to blame.
The body of the singer was flown from LA earlier this week February 13 ahead of the service that will take place at the New Hope Baptist Church, where she sang alongside her cousin, Dionne Warwick.
Whitney is likely to buried alongside her father John Russell Houston Jr, who died in 2003, after a family decision that its what the legendary singer would have liked.
It was reported that Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown had been banned from the funeral this weekend, although it is a claim that he has not commented on.
