On screen Lydia Bright claims she wants to move on from her ex-boyfriend, but off screen is another matter as James ‘Arg’ Argent reveals that he slept with her only days ago and that she still wants to marry him.
Despite 21 year-old Lydia insisting that they were over for good, the 24 year-old performer revealed in tonight’s episode of The Only Way Is Essex that he met up with his ex-girlfriend earlier this week for an emotional reunion that ended with them in bed together.
A frustrated Arg grew angry at the blonde who he branded "disrespectful" at the ‘Essex and The City’ Valentine’s Day party where Lydia flirted with new boy Ricky Rayment after their hot-tub dalliance in Sunday night’s episode.
He confided in Joey Essex: “Basically two days ago Lydia found out I was in a really bad place. She was genuinely concerned about me so we met up.”
“She was saying she is still madly in love with me but didn’t want to be with me. “But then she confused me by saying she still wants kids with me and she still wants to marry me and she wishes that we could just go away to a desert island with me.” He added.
Keeping in the Sex and The City theme Arg earlier showed Joey a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes which he had custom made for Lydia that feature in the film.
But the TV star’s hopes of slipping the blue diamond shoes onto his ex-girlfriend’s feet were dashed when she spent the entire night with ‘old friend’ Ricky. Nicknamed ‘The Captain’ the new lothario of TOWIE certainly had the pick of the ladies as Cara, Lauren Goodger and Lydia all battled for his attention.
We wonder what Lydia will have to say after the episode as Arg also mentioned that he they “swore they would not tell anyone” about their hook-up. Well he did let it slip to Joey.... and a few million fewers!
Arg left the party early, without his girl and still with the shoes.
It was a lonely Valentine’s Day in the end for Arg, he previously revealed that he would spend it eating beer and pizza.
