Kate Middleton definitely made one little girl smile yesterday!
The Duchess paid a visit to the Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool on one of her solo charity visits, ready to spend time with some of the seriously ill children and their families.
And she couldn't have had a better reception; hundreds of people gathered to cheer for her as she arrived, all hoping to lay their eyes on Britain's most fashionable export!
It's become very clear that Kate has a natural talent for greeting the public and was all smiles for the crowd, stopping to speak to a few people as she went. But it was her meeting with little Aimee Haswell that truly made our newest Royal shine!
Aimee, who was diagnosed with a rare heart condition, had been very excited to meet Kate, practicing her curtsy for the "real life princess". She made sure she bobbed expertly as she presented Kate with a gift of red roses.
Aimee told Daybreak how the meeting with the Duchess went:
“Kate was very pretty. She said hello and what’s your name and she said she liked my coat.”
Wow, we'd be over the moon if fashionable Kate stopped to compliment our outfit too!
Kate was genuine and gracious, thanking Aimee for the "very pretty" flowers before asking the youngster how long she'd been waiting in the cold for her.
Caring, beautiful AND friendly? It's no wonder Kate has become the nation's sweetheart.
She may be the nation's sweetheart, but HER heart still very much belongs to her hubby Prince William...
