JLS have spoken about the tragic death of Whitney Houston, revealing the group's favourite Whitney song.
Marvin Humes told Capital FM how he felt upon hearing the news, "I was devastated. I received a text from my dad – I work up to it on Sunday morning. It was terrible news."
Continuing, "She was undoubtedly one of the biggest female musicians of all time."
Aston Merrygold echoed those sentiments adding, "There's been some tragic times over the years – Whitney, Michael [Jackson] - all the legends have sadly passed. But what I like to say is that everything remembered is never dead."
When asked for the band's favourite Whitney song, Marvin admitted it was an easy choice to pick her signature Dolly Parton cover 'I Will Always Love You'
"For all of us in the band for sure it has to be 'I Will Always Love You'."
Marvin explained, "I've never heard a record that is basically an acapella at the beginning sound so incredible on the radio. That's what she did, she din't need the music she didn't need the drums or percussion she just literally had the voice. the first 30 seconds of that song are completely acapella and it's an absolute classic of all time."
