Fans of robots destroying stuff rejoice - director Michael Bay has signed up to direct a fourth 'Transformers' movie.
The third entry in the franchise was a huge box office success last year, despite an overwhelmingly negative reaction from critics and a universally-panned acting debut from Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely.
Speaking to MTV, producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura let slip that Bay - who had previously been on the fence - will be returning to direct the tentatively-titled 'Transformers 4'.
Teasing potential plot ideas, Di Bonaventura said: "I think we really are going to do a reboot there. But what that’s going to be, we don’t even know yet… We’ve got to get a story first."
No cast members have been signed up as yet, so it'll be interesting to see whether leading man Shia LaBeouf stands by his vow to snub a fourth movie.
"Whether there’s anybody from the first cast, we don’t even know yet. But it’s going to be a whole new story," the producer continued.
