Whitney Houston's funeral will take place on Saturday in New Jersey with her family requesting a private event.
It is believed that Whitney will be buried at Newark's New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday, February 18th.
Despite the thousands of Whitney fans who would love to pay their last respects to the 'I Will Always Love You' star, her family have requested that people stay away in order to let them grive alone.
Explaining the reasoning behind this, Carolyn Whigham of New Hope said: "They have shared her for 30-some years with the city, with the state, with the world. This is their time now for their farewell."
"The family thanks all the fans, the friends and the media, but this time is their private time."
Whitney made her first performances on stage at the New Hope Baptist Church as a child.
