Adele has denied rumours that she is set to take five years off from music, revealing that she is heading to the studio very soon.
The six time Grammy Award winner was rumoured to be taking an extended break from the music scene, to enjoy her success and focus on new boyfriend Simon Konnecki.
However, in a new blog post on her official website, Adele disputes that and hints that we will have new music to listen to soon. "I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home and then I’m straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!" she says.
In a long post mainly about the Grammys, Adele thanked her fans and told them all about the night.
"I forgot to mention so many people by name on the night, and for that I’m sorry. I will say thanks to your face when I next see you. I was totally unprepared. Despite the phenomenal year, I swear I didn’t think I had any chance," writes Adele.
Adding: "The most incredible night of my life. Thank you to you all, I am so overwhelmed, it’s the strangest feeling. I have constant butterflies and goosebumps, it’s wearing me out but I LOVE it!"
