Last night saw the return of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, and the first episode of the new series definitely didn't disappoint.
With the promoise of bigger and heavier wedding dresses, we were introduced to Dolores, who for her pre-wedding party wanted something a little different and unconventional....a Palm tree dress for herself and a pineapple dress for her sister to be exact.
Explaining the reason for her choice of outfit, the 21 year-old Irish traveller told the camera: "I wanted something different. I didn't want anything to do with flowers." So it came to no surprise when Dolores, who returned to Rathkeale in Ireland for her big day after living in Spain for the past six months, had diamanté cats decorated all over her wedding dress.
Whilst Dolores celebrated her wedding and impending life as a traveller wife, we were introduced to English traveller, Ronnie who thought it was about time that the travelling community had a beauty pageant.
Wanting to find the next "big star", Ronnie revealed that he was expecting around 50 girls to enter, however, only four girls entered, including Sammy Jo, who was seen preparing for the pageant by splashing out on a new outfit and getting a tan.
Asked whether she thought it was a good idea to use sunbeds to achieve a sun kissed look, Sammy shocked us by shrugging off the dangers of cancer from sunbeds, telling the cameras: "If I knew someone that got it I would cut it down a bit more, but at the end of the day if I get cancer, I get cancer - at least I'll look good."
