Despite a Bafta win and an Oscar nomination there is still one person 'The Iron Lady' star would love approval from.

Speaking to the Metro at The Bafta after-show party on Sunday, US actress Meryl Streep revealed that she doesn't even know if the real life Iron Lady has seen the film:

"I don’t know if she has access to see it, I really hope she likes it."

The 62-year-old has been praised by critics for her portrayal of the former Prime Minister but people close to Thatcher have criticised the film. Cynthia Crawford, the PM's former PA attacked some scenes for being "totally unrelated to the truth."

Streep is to appear at the Berlin Film Festival tonight to receive a lifetime achivement award.
