Adele sat proudly with her new boyfriend Simon Konecki at the Grammy Awards this weekend, where she swept up with six gongs, but at the time we didn't know that she was planning a five-year break from music.
The 'Someone Like You' singer has already admitted that she's "madly in love" with her new beau, and now Adele says that she wants to take some time off to concentrate on her relationship.
"I am f***ing off for four or five years," she told US Vogue. "If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy. And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch."
Adele, who won record of the year on Sunday (February 11), whose music has often been inspired by heartache reckons that she's a good girlfriend, not to mention a good lover, although she has her moments.
"I love a bit of drama. That's a bad thing," she explained. "I can flip really quickly. I am not bipolar, but I go from, 'Oh, my God, I love you' to, 'Get the f**k out of my house!' really quickly. And I never sit there and talk about it. I give them the silent treatment. They're like, 'Tell me what I've done so I can say sorry!' What else? It used to be that I loved a drink a bit too much. But I don't drink no more."
She also added: "The good things: I am attentive. I will do anything for my man. I am a good cook. I'm funny. Always want to have sex - Well, most girls don't!"
Adele has always wanted to settle down and start a family, so should we really be surprised? Well, in all fairness to Simon Konecki, he kept the 23-year-old going as she recovered from throat surgery.
"He's wonderful," she explained. "And he's proud of me, but he don't care about what I do or what other people think. He looks after me. I don't think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn't been for him."
