Following Whitney Houston's tragic death over the weekend, friends and family of the late star feared that footage from Bravo Network's reality show Being Bobby Brown, which showed the iconic singer with her then husband, Bobby in 2005, would be re-released.

With the show, which followed Bobby and Whitney's turbulent relationship, having drawn in high ratings when it was first broadcast, the Huffington Post reports a source revealing that Whitney's family and friends were "terrified" that the footage would be shown again.

They said: "These tapes terrify her family and managers.

"They want to preserve her image as the greatest singer of our generation, not as the troubled wife of Bobby Brown, who turned her from an icon into a joke."

However, a spokesperson for the network has confirmed that they have no plans to re-release Being Bobby Brown.

Reports have revealed that the body of Whitney has arrived in her home town of New Jersey ahead of her funeral.
