Chaka Khan has hit out at stars such as Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears for attending a party in the same hotel Whitney Houston died in just hours previously.
Houston was staying in the Beverly Hills Hilton in LA ahead of Clive Davis pre-Grammy Gala on Saturday and was due to perform at the event. However, as news broke of her death prior to the party it was decided the bash must go ahead.
Appearing on Piers Morgan's CNN show last night (Feb 13) Chaka Khan called this move 'insanity' and criticised those who let it happen.
"I thought that was complete insanity," Khan, who duetted with Whitney Houston on 'I'm Every Woman', explained.
"I don't know what could motivate a person to have a party, in a building where the person whose life he had influenced so enormously, and whose life had been affected by her... I don't understand how that party went on."
Adding: "A more honest tribute, in my opinion, would have been, maybe, call everybody together, say a prayer, let's eat dinner and go home."
