Dancing On Ice star Jennifer Ellison has revealed that she is "absolutely fine" after inuring herself whilst performing a routine on the ice, last night.
Keen to impress the judges, Jennifer got a bit too enthusiastic as she kicked herself in the head with her boot whilst doing a scorpion kick.
The star, who looked emotional as she skated off straight after her performance to get treatment, posted a message on the show's official website, telling fans that she was doing fine.
The star, who scored her highest score despite the accident, said:
"This is a message to everyone who has been in touch to see if I'm ok. I'm absolutely fine and I've been glued together. I've got a bit of a headache and I'll probably feel even worse in the morning, but thanks for all the support, it means so much to me. Hopefully I won't have to do the routine again."
Explaining how Jen injured herself, her professional ice skating partner, Dan Whiston added:
"At the end of the routine Jen does a scorpion kick. She threw her leg really high and the heel of her skate has gone into the back of her head.
"Her whole hair was just red because obviously the heart's pumping and a lot of blood's come out. But she's in great hands now."
