Whitney Houston's family have been told by the coroner overseeing the investigation into the singer's sudden death this weekend that she did not drown, and now they are preparing to fly her body to Atlanta so she can be buried.
The 'I Will Always Love You' singer, was found in the bath by her aunt on Saturday February 11 and paramedics were unable to resuscitate the star, who is thought to have died by a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol.
As there were no signs of foul play and so unless there are objections from the authorities, Whitney's body could be released by the LA County Coroner officials as early as tomorrow.
It had previously been reported that Whitney could have died by drowning the bath, but Coroner officials have revealed that there was not enough water in the singer's lungs, reports TMZ.
After several nights of heavy partying in LA, pictures emerged of the singer looking disheveled, causing fans to fear the worst this weekend. It's been claimed that Whitney took several prescription drugs including Xanax, which causes drowsiness, but she could have died before her head became submerged under the water.
Whitney's aunt Mary Jones allegedly found the singer, half an hour after the singer went for a bath. She then pulled her out and began giving the singer CPR.
