Adele has revealed that she took a job at a record store after she won two Grammy awards back in 2009.
The star, who scooped six trophies at last night's ceremony for her record-shattering latest album 21, won Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance three years ago, when 'Chasing Pavements' became a Stateside hit.
She then took a job at the London-based Rough Trade Records outlet to inspire her next record and stay up to date with emerging acts.
Revisiting the shop for a US interview that aired yesterday (February 12), she said: "After the Grammys... I came here and worked here for a while. No one knows I did it... I did it for myself."
Speaking of the staff's reaction to her appointment, she said: "They were baffled by it."
Last night's victories at the Grammys matched Beyonce's 2010 record for most wins by a female artist.
