Adele Cleans Up With Six At Grammy Awards

Adele picked up all six of the Grammy Awards she was nominated for last night, including the Best Album prize.

Despite having a hugely successful year in 2011, nobody could have predicted that Adele would blow away all of the competition and win everything in the way she did. Nevertheless, the London girl walked away with prizes for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video and Best Album.

This feat brings Adele into the record books, equalling Beyonce's 2010 feat of most Grammy wins in one night.

Elsewhere, Foo Fighters won five awards and Kanye West picked up four for 'Best Rap Performance', 'Best Rap/Sung Collaboration', 'Best Rap Song' and 'Best Rap Album'.

Amy Winehouse was posthumously awarded Best Pop Duo Performance for her song 'Body and Soul' with Tony Bennett. Her parents, Mitch and Janis, came out on stage to collect the award giving a humble speech.
