The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger has struggled with her weight for some time, having faced criticism from the public, as well as her ex-fiance and former TOWIE lothario Mark Wright, who has called her ‘overweight’ in the press.
So far Lauren has been reluctant to talk about her problems, but confronted with Sam Faier’s Hawaiian-themed housewarming party was too much for the Essex beauty, who broke down in tears as she confided to friend Lauren Pope about struggling with her body image.
Living under the spotlight has obviously been hard for the reality star, and she confessed on the show that she feels unhappy about her body shape since splitting with Mark Wright earlier last year.
The tearful star said: “I feel like I'm bigger now, definitely. Since I've been single, going out clubbing, I've put on weight."
"I need help. I need something to help me.”
Lauren is one of the curvier members of the cast, and with new TOWIE stars such as the slim Georgina Dorsett, it’s no wonder that Lauren feels “a bit under pressure with it at the moment.”
The scrutiny of being in the public eye, onscreen in The Only Way Is Essex and trailed by the paparazzi is obviously adding to Lauren’s body woes, as she can’t help but be focused on her image.
She revealed to a sympathetic Lauren Pope: “Some weeks I feel great. I feel good, slim, other weeks I feel really like bloated in the face and a bit uncomfortable.”
