Love was in the air on tonight’s Dancing On Ice show as the remaining celebrities were required to perform a special Valentines routine, with Emmerdale man and joint favourite Matt Wolfenden kicking off the show.

Despite a seemingly improved performance upon last weeks routine, Matt still scored lower than last week's 23 total, this time round receiving 22 from the judges.

It appeared to struggle with the footwork of his routine, which was later openly criticized by judge Katarina Witt.

Skating to ‘Everything’ by Michael Buble, Matt was overjoyed with how his performance, as were the judges, went despite receiving a lower score than last week. “I’m chuffed to bits. That’s the best I’ve ever done it.”

Judge Robin Cousins added: “In the last couple of weeks, you almost push yourself too hard. Tonight, we got to see you relax and it was a joy to watch.”

Katarina, who this week was more generous with her scoring towards Matt, also enjoyed his performance. “It was free with smooth transitions, very well done Matt.”

Do you agree? What do you think of Matt’s performance tonight?
