With the 2012 BAFTA Awards just one day away, bookies have made it clear who the favourites are.
'The Artist', George Clooney and Meryl Streep are among the films and stars tipped to have their efforts rewarded in Leicester Square tomorrow night.
Ladbrokes list 'The Artist' as runaway favourite to win Best Picture, with 1/6 odds. 'Tinker Tailor Solider Spy' follows on 6/1, with 'The Descendants', 'The Help' and 'Drive' bringing up the rear on 12/1, 16/1 and 20/1 respectively.
The film's maker Michael Hazanavicius is the hot tip to scoop Best Director, with 'Hugo's Martin Scorsese his biggest competition.
In the acting categories, George Clooney is odds-on favourite to win Best Actor for 'The Descendants', with Gary Oldman's turn in 'Tinker Tailor Solider Spy' not to be dismissed on 2/1. Meryl Streep's performance as Margaret Thatcher in 'The Iron Lady' is the red-hot favourite for Best Actress, with Viola Davies' SAG-winning appearance in 'The Help' in second place.
Christopher Plummer is set to follow his Golden Globe win for 'Beginners' with a BAFTA for Supporting Actor, with Octavia Spencer's biggest competition for Best Supporting Actress coming from her 'The Help' cast-mate Jessica Chastain.
