Madonna’s performance at last weekend’s Super Bowl was meant to be her biggest and most impressive show yet, but the queen of pop was unceremoniously overshadowed by MIA who joined her on stage and left viewers and fans reeling as she shouted profanities and did the middle finger into the camera.
The 53 year-old singer was said to be livid after the performance, for which MIA has hastily apologised and according to The Quietis made these scathing comments to Ryan Seacrest on American Radio this morning: "I wasn't happy about it. “It's kind of a teenager irrelevant thing to do."
The British rap star joined Madonna to perform her new single ‘Give Me Your Lovin’ along with fellow RnB star Nicki Minaj who also features on the track but stole the limelight from the main star Madonna when she made rude gestures into the camera.
The ‘Material Girl’ accused the rapper of killing the vibe of the performance, she added: “I know it's kind of punk rock and everything, but to me there was just such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity, and it just seemed negative".
Madonna isn't the only one not happy with MIA she may face a hefty fine from the NFL who are very strict when it comes to performances at the Super Bowl following Janet Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction which exposed her nipple.
