The director of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez’s talent show Q’Viva has admitted that he has had to “referee” arguments between the pair.
In an awkward interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, director Jamie King joined the former couple to discuss their new show and despite their insistence that everyone gets on, it is clear things are not as rosy as the couple have made out.
According to RadarOnline, Ellen asked the couple how well they get on to which American Idol judge Jennifer replied: “We laugh a lot.”
Director Jamie King then interjected and said: “Not always. I find myself in the middle refereeing sometimes.”
After that exchange a clip of Jennifer hitting her ex-husband on the head is shown to which the 42 year-old singer awkwardly laughed and insisted she did not do it hard.
In a dig at his former wife, 43 year-old Marc said: “She can’t help herself ... trust me, it hurt.”
With the ‘On the Floor’ singer desperate to have the last word she added finally: “It did not hurt.”
The couple, who split last summer after seven years of marriage have continued to work together on several projects and despite insisting that they still love and respect each other, both have made public digs about the other since the split.
Marc was said to be livid when pictures emerged of Jen’s new toyboy Casper Smart playing dad to their children Max and Emme.
The Latin star got his own back with a series of sickening declarations of love for new girlfriend Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima on Facebook earlier this month.
