It's certainly been a dramatic week on American Idol, with 16-year-old hopeful Symone Black fainting and dramatically falling off the stage after performing a soulful rendition of the Otis Redding hit '(Sitting on) The Dock of the Bay,' and now the LA Times is reporting that all of the contestants on the show have been struck down with the flu!
Symone Black has since recovered from fainting and falling, and it was revealed by doctors that the singer was suffering from dehydration, but now the headache continues for show bosses, as they fear other contestants may have to pull out of the competition due to sickness.
This week many of the American Idol hopefuls were seen running off to the toilets in between filming, and unwell contestant Amy Brumfield told the cameras: "I feel like crap."
Adding: "I don't want to get eliminated because I'm sick".
Host Ryan Seacrest jokingly called her "Patient Zero," trying to make light of the situation, but she may see her hopes dashed if she is forced to pull out of the competition due to illness.
Other contestants were seen with bags on their laps in case they didn't make it to the toilets in time, but so far none of the hopefuls have had to leave the show.
Fingers crossed that nothing else goes wrong for the American Idol contestants!
