According to reports, this year's X Factor runner up Marcus Collins has affirmed that his former mentor Gary Barlow ‘definitely’ wants to return to the hit ITV talent show later this year.
The Liverpudlian singer, who is currently promoting his new single and album, revealed to the Daily Mail that the Take That star would like to stay on the judging panel for a consecutive year.
Although ITV bosses are said to be desperate to keep the popular musician, song writer and singer on board, reportedly show boss Simon Cowell has not decided whether he wants the boybander back, as he is looking at various ways to reboot the series in the wake of falling viewing figures.
While Simon considers who will make up this year's X Factor judging panel, it is still not known whether he himself will appear on the show.
A source explained to the Daily Mail: “Gary wasn’t perfect last year but who else is there? Only Paul McCartney, Elton and Noel Gallagher have more gravitas.”
Even without the X Factor, Gary is still in demand, and presently he is busy organising the upcoming Jubilee concert for the Queen at Buckingham Palace, as well as working with Marcus on his burgeoning solo career and planning Take That’s next album and tour.
Phew that Gary's a busy boy!
