Chris Brown has refused to walk the red carpet at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards as he is angry that journalists still ask about the assault incident with Rihanna.
It is the first time the ‘Champion’ star has attended the Grammy’s since he was arrested for attacking Rihanna on the eve of the awards three years ago.
The singer is clearly desperate to make it all about him as Chris has refused to walk the red carpet, despite being a nominee and performer but still wants coverage of the 'over the top' performance he has planned.
While the 22 year-old knows that if he speaks to journalists they will bring it up the shocking assault and according to Radar Online that is something he is not prepared to talk about.
An insider revealed: “Chris just wants to do his performance, and let his music speak for him. Chris and Rihanna have both moved on from what happened, and Chris has accepted responsibility for his actions."
While publically the star is remorseful, Chris is said to be angry that people still refer to the incident and think he has been given a rough ride.
The source added: “Chris thinks it’s unfair that the media wants to focus on the incident, especially when you look at how the media treats Charlie Sheen. Sheen isn't asked about his criminal record involving several women, including his now ex-wife.”
According to Hollywood life Chris even tweeted a picture of his middle finger on the three year anniversary of the incident with the message: “Middle finger in full effect today!!! LOL". A clear indication of how he feels about the continuing attention it recieves.
With a performance on the night and three Grammy nominations it could mark the singer’s return to the A List.
But that doesn’t mean he can run away from his past completely.
According to Radar Online security guards will keep him away from ex-girlfriend Rihanna on the night to avoid any detraction from his performance, which he has promised will be show stopping.
