Glee's Lea Michele has been linked to a new film adaptation of 'Spring Awakening'.
The actress, who plays Rachel Berry in the ABC musical comedy, is in talks to play the role of Wendla, which she first took on for its Broadway run from 2006-2008.
Director McG, responsible for the 2000 Charlie's Angels reboot and the recent This Means War, told E! News that he's a big fan.
"We're talking to Lea Michele because she made the role of Wendla famous and we'll see if that pans out and works with the timing of her schedule on [Glee]," he said.
"I love Lea; we've talked about it. When I first got turned onto the show she was in it so it's her voice that echoes in my heart. I really think she's wonderful and we'll see where it takes us."
It was reported last month that Michele had auditioned for a role in 'Les Miserables', but lost out to Taylor Swift. Swift herself was then replaced by Over The Rainbow finalist Samantha Barks.
