Russell Brand could have cashed in on at least $20 million through his split from Katy Perry, that would have given him more in the pot to invest in his beloved West Ham United.
The British comedian is reportedly thinking about investing in his beloved football club and has his heart set on becoming a board member.
Now he's split from Katy Perry, it's thought that the 'Get Him To The Greek' star will spend more time in the UK, and so will be attending more of the matches.
According to Showbiz Spy, a source said: “Russell is a life long Hammers fan. Now his personal life has changed, Russell has had more time to watch the team and is more passionate than ever.”
They also added: “He would seriously consider an invitation to get involved at board level some time in the future.”
Earlier this week, Russell and Katy finalise their divorce but it won't be official for another six months.
