Prince Harry has proved that he is more than just a playboy prince by being awarded the ‘best co-pilot gunner’ on his Apache helicopter training course this week.
According to People Magazine the dashing prince was the best officer to take control of a mission and its weapons systems and sights out of the 20 pilots on the course. He was given a polished 30mm round from an Apache cannon mounted on a stand as a trophy.
Harry spent three months in California and Arizona as part of the 18 month training where the locals went crazy for the flame haired Prince. Good time Harry certainly settled into the American way of life and was spotted riding around on a Harley Davidson motorbike as well as being linked to a number of lucky ladies.
The Prince must have enjoyed catching up with his fellow pilots at the event on Wednesday as it is all business for the rest of his year.
He will be embarking on his first solo Royal tour on behalf of the Queen next month to the Caribbean and South America as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
He is also anxious to return to Afghanistan and fly Apache helicopters on the front line. The prince first tour was cut short in 2008 after a media blackout was broken.
We are sure he will fit some partying in somewhere though. He was recently spotted on a nightout with another British super hunk, David Beckham. The twosome spent a night with Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins at the exclusive Arts Club in Mayfair, London and did not leave until at least 3am.
