If you cringed at the horribly awkward scene in The Inbetweeners where Simon and his girlfriend are trying to have sex, then you'll be as shocked as us to hear that the pair are an item off-screen!
Joe Thomas and Hannah Tointon, despite their nightmarish on-screen relationship, are happy in love when the cameras stop rolling. But they do live together in a house perfect for Simon and the gang's antics...
As Joe told the Daily Mail, the pair's city love nest is very primitive:
"We live in an old-fashioned 1960s building in the Barbican and it is like stepping into a time warp,’ says Joe. We have no dishwasher and no hot water. The washing-up consumes so much of our spare time that Hannah has suggested we eat off paper plates. But I have drawn the line at living in a permanent children’s party!"
Obviously it goes without saying that the pair are busy looking for a new home:
"I quite like the romance of having to boil the kettle every time we have to wash up or have a bath, but Hannah doesn’t!"
Fingers crossed Joe and Hannah fare better than Simon and Tara...
