She may have caused trouble at the Super Bowl this year but it seems M.I.A. might have more important things to worry about after it was revealed that she has split from her fiance.
M.I.A., 36, was engaged to Benjamin Bronfman but the pair are said to have split and that he is currently looking after their two-year-old son Ikhyd Edgar Arular. The Daily News reports that M.I.A. is often going 'six weeks without seeing her son'.
Bronfman, a musician, is the son of Edgar Bronfman, Jr., former CEO and Chairman of Warner Music Group and heir to the Seagram Company.
M.I.A. hit the headlines this week when she flashed her middle finger during a performance with Madonna and Nicki Minaj during the Super Bowl half time show. It was reported today that should any fine be issued over the performance that M.I.A. will be personally responsible for paying it.
