Madonna is reportedly furious with M.I.A. after she flashed her middle finger during the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday (Feb 5).
UK star M.I.A. took most of the attention away from Madonna with the spontaneous action, something her host is none too happy about.
"Madonna wasn't impressed. She prides herself on professionalism. MIA did nothing similar in rehearsals," a source told The Sun.
Adding: "Nobody knew she was going to pull this stunt. Madonna wanted to put on a world-beating performance. But everyone ended up talking about this girl's middle finger."
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, M.I.A. will have to foot the bill should there be any fines over the incident. The 'Paper Planes' star signed a contract with the NFL which stated that "M.I.A. agreed to indemnify the NFL for any money it might be forced to pay if the FCC comes down on the Peacock Network [NBC]."
Janet Jackson was fine over $500,000 following her 'wardrobe malfunction' at the 2004 Superbowl, however the amount was later dropped upon appeal.
