Madonna has proved that she still the Queen of pop as 114 million people tune in to see her perform at Sunday night’s Super Bowl half-time show.

The 53 year-old’s performance was the most watched in the history of the Super Bowl and drew a staggering 4 million more viewers than last year’s show by the Black Eyed Peas.

According to USA Today the Super Bowl was watched by an average of 111.3 million viewers, peaking at a record-breaking 117 million.

The highly anticipated performance featured Nicki Minaj and MIA who joined the ‘Material Girl’ on stage for an energetic performance of her new single ‘Give Me All Your Lovin’.

The 12 minute show was not without its controversy though as MIA swore at the camera and made profane gestures.

The NFL have since issued an apology for her behaviour to viewers and fans.

The star-studded night saw the first performance of Madonna’s new single, which will feature on her upcoming new album ‘MDNA’.
