Christina Aguilera was reacquainted with former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Tony Lucca during the first blind auditions of the second season of singing talent show The Voice.
Tony Lucca was just 14 years-old when he appeared on the show with Christina, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling.
Although his co-stars have gone on to reach dizzying career heights, Tony's father admitted that he had struggled since the show and now plays guitar at a string of smaller clubs.
Wowing judges Christina, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, Tony performed a heart-rending rendition of 'Trouble' by Ray La Montagne for his blind audition, causing them all to spin around in surprise.
Initially Christina didn't recognise her former Mickey Mouse Club colleague and told the hopeful singer: "It does take a true talent to come along and jolt us out of our seats to push our buttons. You have such a beautiful, silky quality to your tone and I appreciate you for making us all push our buttons."
Blake Shelton also commented: "One of the things I love about this show is you can see true, professional, hardcore, talented people coming out. This is what you do and you're really good at it and I like the fact all of us recognise that."
Tony chose to work with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, and as he left the stage, Christina suddenly realised where she knew him from and chased him into the backstage area.
Before leaving her chair Christina said: "You know who that guy was? I was on the Mickey Mouse Club with him. That is so weird! Where is my old Mouseketeer buddy?"
Hugging him backstage, Christina joked to Tony's family: "I knew him back when Britney had the biggest crush on you! She would talk about you all the time - and she wouldn't mind me saying that. Back together on TV, hello? Does it get better than that!"
