Lana Del Rey is so pleased with her debut album 'Born To Die' that she doesn't think she'll record another.
What? Really?!
The 25-year-old has been topping the charts with her album, but that doesn't mean that she wants to keep on doing so forever. Most musicians intend to make music to make money, but it seems as if Lana is more interested in her own message. And now she's made that message known, she might just step back.
As she told Vogue, Lana has said everything she needs to say:
"I don't think I'll write another record. What would I say? I feel like everything I wanted to say, I've said already."
BUT LANA, YOU HIT THE NUMBER ONE SLOT!
Ahem.
Lana Del Ray has divided everybody with her music, with some praising her poetic nature and others blasting her as dreary and miserable. And this makes perfect sense when you consider the fact that 'Born To Die' is a tribute to her formerly wild lifestyle. She used to drink a lot, and worry about immortality, but now the singer has pulled herself out of her depression and gone teetotal:
"The album is a tribute to living life on the wild side. I'm sort of kidding because I'm not that wild any more... used to drink a lot. Too much. I haven't had a drink for seven years now."
Well, you go away and have a think Lana. Maybe just consider a second album. We're sure you'll find plenty to say...
