Earlier this week Cheryl Cole and MC Harvey had a Twitter spat following his interview, in which he claimed that the pair had once enjoyed a brief romance, following her split from husband Ashley Cole.
Now magazine have now released a statement insisting that it will stand by its interview with the former So Solid Crew member. In the issue dated on February 6, Harvey (real name Michael Harvey) claims to have been ready to marry the former Girls Aloud singer to which Cheryl took offence and is said to have launched legal proceedings against the mag.

The magazine now released a statement on its website, that read: We completely and wholeheartedly stand by our exclusive and refute any accusation that it contains untruths.
"Michael Harvey himself released a statement earlier this week standing by what he revealed in his interview in Now magazine. "The article is not defamatory and was published in good faith - we will strongly defend it."
Even Nicola Roberts has weighed in on the 'romance' by insisting that Cheryl wouldn't be sending mushy emails - because she prefers phone sex.
