To be fair, Ashley Cole doesn't have a leg to stand on when it comes to his ex-wife Cheryl's private life, but that hasn't stopped the footballer from weighing in on the claims made by MC Harvey that he had a relationship with the 'Promise This' star.
With Cheryl already denying any involvement with Harvey in a Twitter row, Ashley has now reportedly told friends that MC Harvey's claims hold no truth as he knows Cheryl hasn't been with many men since they divorced.
According to the Daily Star, a source reported Ashley as saying: "The guy is using Cheryl. He needs to back off right now."
The source added: "Ashley knows where Cheryl was and what she was doing. He knows exactly which men she hung out with and apart from Derek (Hough) and later will.i.am there was no one. He's furious Harvey is claiming he got close to her and feels it's just grabbing the limelight because he's out of the limelight."
