The original princess of the Queen Vic is set to make a return to Albert Square, reports have confirmed.
Letitia Dean, who first started playing Dirty Den's daughter, Sharon Watts in 1985 will make a grand comeback to EastEnders when she begins filming scenes in May that will be shown later in the year.
Speaking of her return, Digital Spy reports the actress, whose character left the soap in 2006 after the death of her husband, Denis Rickman, as saying:
"I am really looking forward to being part of the EastEnders team again, as it has always been very close to my heart. I cannot wait to work with my old colleagues and see what is in store for Sharon."
Bryan Kirkwood, EastEnders' executive producer added: "I'm thrilled that Letitia is coming back home to Albert Square where she belongs. Sharon is a real favourite amongst EastEnders' fans and I for one can't wait until she arrives back in the summer."
We can't wait either!
