We were all wondering what was going on in camp Spice when Mel B let it slip earlier this week that the Girls had been asked to reform for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert. Now it has been revealed that Victoria Beckham is standing in the way of a reunion because she does not have the time.
According to The Mirror, the girls were asked by Gary Barlow, who is organising the concert to reform but that new mother Victoria flat out refused to get involved. The 37 year old said that she did not have the time to fit in the concert along with her fashion and family commitments.
A source said: “All the girls are desperate for some Spice action except Posh who is simply too busy.”
“she loves the girls and wants to support them and the fans but doesn’t see how she has the time when her fashion business is so successful.” They added.
Victoria’s husband David has just signed a new two-year deal with his club LA Galaxy which means the family will be living in Hollywood until at least 2014. With four children under ten it does not leave much time for a pop career, especially if it involves a lot of travel to Britain.
The source continued: “She has a very small team that she is hands-on with all day, every day. Every spare minute she has is spent with her children.”
Looks like there will be a bit of Spice missing from this year’s celebration.
