George Clooney has hit out over the release of Demi Moore’s 911 call after the actress collapsed at her Hollywood home last week calling it “stupid”.
The actor spoke out at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards where he was up for the Best Actor Award.
According to The Insider he said: “I think it's a stupid thing.”
“I think it's stupid for anyone, whether they're celebrated or not, I don't believe their 911 calls should be broadcast around the world." He continued.
The Descendants actor who missed out on the night to ‘The Artist’s’ Jean Dujardin added: “It's always troubling when people you know and people who you care about end up going through a difficult time.”
Demi was rushed to hospital after collapsing at her home last week. The emotional call made by her concerned friends was released last week.
George criticised social networks and said that soon no-one would be able to keep anything private, famous or not: “There won't be any version of privacy. So it's going to be a tricky thing.”
"What's happening and what people have to remember is that people are getting famous from Facebook and Twitter, so it's not just about people here, it's about everybody. “
