Angelina Jolie has denied claims that she is set to marry her lover of six years Brad Pitt. Rumours that the golden couple were about to tie the knot went into overdrive last week after Brad revealed he was under pressure from their children to propose.
The couple were asked about the speculation at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night and were quick to play down the rumours.
The 36 year-old actress told People Magazine: "I think anything said tends to be blown out of proportion."
Her partner, Brad admitted that the rumours had started after he mentioned in several interviews that their six children were desperate for them to tie the knot.
When asked about the rumours, he said: “Yeah, that was my fault."
Brad had previously said in an interview with CBS News: “We will [get married] someday, we will.”
“I’m getting a lot of pressure from the kids. "It means something to them.” He added.
Even without the rumours, it is clear the couple are deeply in love as they put on another flirty performance on the red carpet. Brad was nominated for Best Actor for his role in 'Moneyball' but missed out to 'The Artist's' Jean Dujardin.
