Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her split with husband Marc Anthony amid rumours they are getting back together.
In an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show this morning 'The Wedding Planner' actress said Anthony, 43, was “always going to be in my life.”
Lopez, 42, said they were in constant contact for the sake of their twins - three-year-olds Emme Maribel Muniz, and Maximilian "Max" David Muñiz - and for their new reality TV talent show ‘Q’Viva’.
"Marc and I were friends before we got married. We were friends for years. And we always loved each other, and we always worked together... Obviously, we have children together so it's not like he's not going to be in my life, he's always going to be in my life,” the American Idol judge told Lauer.
The singer, who has been dating 24-year-old back-up dancer Casper Smart since the split, also spoke out on the difficulties of the marriage.
"We're human. I'm not going to sit here and lie to you about it,” she revealed.
“But at the end of the day there is real love there, and there is a family there and that comes first. And at the end of the day we also really love this project. It has its difficult moments once in a while when we're together, just because of the same things as when we were married."
The revelation comes off the back of media reports of a possible reconciliation between the two who announced their break-up last year after seven years of marriage.
